So by entering additional email addresses in the BCC field, the persons concerned will receive the content of the message in their mailboxes as if they had been a simple copy (CC) of the message, but with the difference that their email address will not appear anywhere in the message header (only the email addresses of the sender and direct recipient will be visible).
Although less commonly used in practice than the standard copy (CC), the BCC hidden copy offers the advantage of being able to transmit the content of a message invisibly to a third party whom you wish to inform, without the main recipient knowing. The most common uses are in the private sphere (messages between non-business people), but BCC can also be used in companies for specific or legal purposes.
Although technically speaking, there’s nothing to prevent a person on CCI from replying to the email received, if they do so by including the original recipient of the message, then the “secret” nature of the copy will be revealed to everyone.
