verifier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">An <strong>email verifier<\/strong>, also known as an <strong>email checker<\/strong>, is a software used to check an email address or a list of email addresses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As email addresses deteriorate over time (every day thousands are deleted and no longer exist, and many more are created), the role of an email verifier is to check that the addresses tested are still valid and can be used for an emailing campaign (or for simple email sending).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The basis of an email checker is to give the status of the tested mailbox, without ever sending any actual email to it<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The email verifier is an essential component of the email marketing ecosystem, as <strong>it helps to decrease hard bounces of email lists, and thus increase the deliverability of email advertising campaigns<\/strong>.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">By working on data quality, the email verifier enables the main ESPs (such as gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.) to perceive the advertiser as a person who follows the \u201cbest practices\u201d of email marketing, and is therefore trustworthy and should not be confused with a spammer.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Maintaining good email list hygiene with the help of <strong>an email verifier tool will therefore gradually help the advertiser to reach the INBOX box<\/strong> (instead of the promotional or spam box).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As the hard bounce rate metric is closely monitored and used by email routers, regular use of an email verification solution also enables an advertiser to reduce its hard bounce rate (below the maximum authorized limit of 5%), and thus avoid being blocked by routers when sending emails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It&#8217;s estimated that between 3% and 7% of a list&#8217;s emails will become invalid every year, which is why advertisers are advised to have their emails checked by a good email checker once or twice a year, to avoid the risk of damaging to their reputation, and to
